The Guidelines set out a five-step approach to organizing breakfast:
🔹 selecting the appropriate breakfast category;
🔹 preparing a corresponding range of products;
🔹 taking seasonality into account;
🔹 implementing menu and service standards;
🔹 establishing a staff quality-control system.
In addition, the Guidelines provide hotels with examples of basic, extended, and premium breakfast categories, as well as practical recommendations for their preparation, organization, and presentation.
The Guidelines and accompanying materials will help hotels provide Uzbek breakfasts to a high standard. This will not only contribute to improving the quality of tourist services but also give international visitors an opportunity to discover Uzbekistan’s culinary heritage and traditional culture.
It is worth noting that modern travellers increasingly seek more than visits to historical landmarks — they also want to experience the local way of life and discover national cuisine. The breakfast a guest receives on the first day of their stay can play an important role in shaping their first impression of the country.
The Guidelines view the Uzbek breakfast not simply as a selection of dishes, but as a harmonious combination of food, presentation, and service culture. At the same time, the use of products sourced from local farmers will contribute to supporting the domestic economy and promoting local production.
