During the meeting, the parties discussed prospects for further expanding cooperation between Uzbekistan and the People's Republic of China in the fields of tourism and civil aviation.
At present, Loong Air is actively strengthening air connectivity between Uzbekistan and China by operating scheduled flights on the Xi'an–Tashkent, Chengdu–Tashkent, and Xi'an–Samarkand routes.
The participants noted that China remains one of Uzbekistan's most important international source markets for tourism. In recent years, the number of Chinese visitors to Uzbekistan has shown steady growth. In particular, more than 278,900 Chinese citizens visited Uzbekistan in 2025, while 223,500 visitors were recorded during the January–June 2026 period alone.
The meeting also explored opportunities to further expand air connectivity between the two countries. In particular, the parties discussed increasing the number of flights operated by Loong Air and jointly assessing the feasibility of launching new direct air routes between cities in Uzbekistan and China. In addition, the participants exchanged views on implementing joint marketing and promotional campaigns aimed at further increasing the bilateral flow of tourists between the two countries.
