During the meeting, the parties reviewed the current state of bilateral cooperation in the tourism sector and discussed measures to increase the two-way flow of tourists, expand cooperation between tour operators and airlines, and implement joint investment and marketing initiatives.
The discussions also covered proposals to organise professional training and knowledge-exchange programmes for Uzbekistan’s hospitality industry specialists in Istanbul and Antalya, as well as to establish academic and applied research cooperation with Cappadocia University.
The two sides reached agreements aimed at elevating bilateral tourism cooperation to a new level by strengthening partnerships among tourism organisations, tour operators, airlines, educational institutions, and travel agencies, while also promoting joint forums, B2B meetings, and investment projects.
At the conclusion of the meeting, representatives of Türkiye’s tourism industry were invited to participate with a national pavilion at the “Tourism on the Silk Road” International Tourism Fair, scheduled to be held in Tashkent in November 2026.
