Uzbekistan is no longer associated solely with sightseeing tours of its ancient cities. Today, the country offers a wide variety of summer vacation options, including modern mountain resorts, beach complexes, eco-tourism routes, and scenic natural destinations.
One of the most comfortable summer destinations is the mountainous areas of the Tashkent region. In particular, the Charvak Reservoir offers a wide range of water activities, including boat and yacht cruises, catamaran rides, and jet skiing.
The Amirsoy Mountain Resort is an excellent choice for both active and family vacations. Thanks to its high-altitude location, temperatures there are several degrees lower than in the capital. Nearby are the Chimgan Mountains, the Beldersay Valley, and numerous tourist resorts and recreation areas.
For those seeking a more peaceful retreat, Aydarkul and Tudakul lakes provide excellent opportunities for ecotourism and nature-based recreation. The Zaamin and Ugam-Chatkal National Parks are also popular summer destinations, offering a cool climate, scenic eco-trails, and well-developed tourism infrastructure.
Other regions of Uzbekistan are equally attractive for summer travel. Travelers looking for cooler weather and a peaceful natural setting should consider destinations in the Namangan region, including the village of Gova and the tourist villages of Chodak and Nanay. In the Andijan region, the tourist village of Imom Ota is a popular destination, while in the Fergana region, recreation areas around the Karkidon Reservoir in the Kuva district attract visitors throughout the summer. In the Samarkand region, travelers can explore the tourist village of Tersak and the mahalla of Omonkoton, where they can enjoy fresh mountain air and experience the traditional rural lifestyle.
According to the latest figures, more than 6.56 million foreign tourists visited Uzbekistan during the first six months of 2026, nearly 25 percent more than during the same period last year. In June alone, the country welcomed more than 1.2 million international visitors, highlighting the growing interest in Uzbekistan's tourism opportunities even during the hottest months of the year.
Extreme heat is no reason to put travel plans on hold. On the contrary, summer is the perfect time to discover a different side of Uzbekistan—one of cool mountain peaks, crystal-clear lakes, picturesque gorges, and modern resorts offering everything needed for a comfortable and safe holiday for the whole family.
