The meeting brought together representatives of tourism companies, insurance organizations, and industry experts. Participants exchanged views and presented proposals on key issues related to the development of the outbound tourism market.

During the open dialogue, participants thoroughly discussed the improvement of licensing requirements for tour operators and travel agencies engaged in outbound tourism, measures to strengthen the safety of citizens traveling abroad, and the modernization of the tourist insurance system in line with current standards. Particular attention was given to reviewing international best practices and exploring their possible adaptation in Uzbekistan to improve the protection of citizens traveling overseas.

The participants also discussed various mechanisms for the effective implementation of an insurance system for citizens traveling abroad. In particular, proposals were considered to include an insurance policy as part of a travel package, integrate it with the purchase of transportation tickets, and link insurance coverage to border crossing procedures. The views and recommendations of the participants were heard and taken into account for all of the proposed initiatives.
