Under the leadership of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the country is consistently implementing the “Digital Uzbekistan – 2030” strategy, aimed at accelerating the digital transformation of all sectors of the economy, including tourism. For Uzbekistan, this transformation is not a future goal, but an already ongoing national strategy.
The exhibition’s central focus includes robotics, smart city solutions, drone technologies, and digital infrastructure. More than 700 companies are participating in the forum. World Intelligence Expo 2026 is gaining significance not only as a technology exhibition but also as an international platform for discussing global innovations, the digital economy, and the industries of the future.
A delegation from Uzbekistan led by the Chairman of the Tourism Committee, A. Akkulov, is also participating in this prestigious forum. Within the framework of the exhibition, special attention is being drawn to Uzbekistan’s national pavilion, organized with the support of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in China.
Uzbekistan’s pavilion stands out for its unique concept: at the center of the exhibition are the country’s rich cultural heritage, centuries-old handicraft traditions, and tourism potential. Samples of national decorative and applied arts demonstrated by Uzbek craftsmen — including ceramics and other traditional handicraft products — are attracting significant interest among exhibition participants.
Speaking at the opening ceremony of the exhibition, Chairman of the Tourism Committee A. Akkulov emphasized that technology is fundamentally transforming the tourism sector. “Today, a new Silk Road is emerging — it is being built not only through roads and railways, but also on the basis of data, artificial intelligence, and digital interconnectedness. This is the Digital Silk Road.”
During the speech, issues related to the implementation of the “Digital Uzbekistan 2030” strategy, the Unified National Tourism Platform, and cooperation with China in the field of tourism were also discussed.
Within the framework of World Intelligence Expo 2026, international B2B meetings, technology presentations, and cooperation negotiations are also planned.
