Namangan included in the Guinness World Records

In connection with the festival, large-scale beautification and landscaping works have been carried out across Namangan city and the region. In particular, city streets, alleys, parks, and the main festival venues were decorated with more than 150 million flower seedlings, further strengthening Namangan’s image as the “City of Flowers.”
The festival program includes more than 150 events. Among them are presentations of national and contemporary art, pop concerts, folklore performances, handicraft exhibitions, cultural programs, scientific and practical conferences, seminars, and tourism presentations.
The festival serves not only as a cultural celebration, but also as an important platform for promoting the tourism potential of Namangan region, increasing the flow of foreign and domestic tourists, and strengthening international ties. It is expected that around 1 million foreign and about 7 million domestic tourists will visit Namangan during the festival.
One of the festival’s most significant events took place in and around the Zahiriddin Muhammad Babur Culture and Recreation Park. In this area, nearly 30 million flower seedlings were planted by one team within a month, setting a new record and securing the region’s inclusion in the Guinness World Records in the category “Largest number of flowers planted by one team within one month.”
This achievement is regarded as a vivid example of large-scale beautification efforts, organized festival preparations, and collective work carried out in Namangan region.
During the 65th International Flower Festival, guests will have the opportunity to discover Namangan’s national values, rich cultural heritage, modern tourism opportunities, gastronomic traditions, and atmosphere of hospitality. Events held within the framework of the festival contribute to promoting Namangan region as an attractive tourist destination not only within Uzbekistan, but also internationally.
For reference: the 65th International Flower Festival lasts for 50 days. More than 150 cultural and educational events, conferences, and seminars are being held as part of the festival. Over 150 million flower seedlings have been planted across Namangan. The festival is expected to attract around 1 million foreign and about 7 million domestic tourists.
