“Festival of Artists” takes place in the city of Babur

It should be noted that during the visit of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, to the Andijan Region in April 2025, the Head of State emphasized that the city of Babur should become a unique space reflecting national culture, art, Uzbek hospitality, tolerance, and cooperation, and also put forward the initiative to hold the “Festival of Artists” specifically in this city.
As part of the event, organized in the “Ziyolilar Bog‘i” park in the city of Babur, guests are becoming acquainted with a wide range of artworks, creative exhibitions, and concert programs. It is especially noticeable that during the festival days, the number of visitors to tourism sites in the Andijan Region has increased significantly.
The festival is attracting not only art enthusiasts, but also numerous local and foreign tourists.
Around 200 masters from Karakalpakstan and all regions of the country are participating in the festival, representing such fields of visual art as painting, artistic photography, sculpture, and graphic arts. At the conclusion of the festival, participants will be awarded in the following categories: “Grand Prix,” “Best Painter,” “Best Sculptor,” “Best Art Photographer,” and “Best Graphic Artist.”
According to the festival program, the event includes exhibitions of visual art, master classes, and creative meetings with renowned and talented artists, an international scientific and practical conference organized jointly with the International Organization of Turkic Culture — TÜRKSOY, plein-air sessions, exhibitions of decorative and applied arts and handicrafts, showcases of national and historical costumes, artistic performances, as well as excursions to the region’s landmarks.
This cultural event contributes to the further раскрытие of the region’s tourism potential and is transforming Andijan into one of the country’s centers of art and culture.
