Tourism development issues in the CIS region were discussed

The meeting was also attended by the Head of the Organizational Department of the Secretariat of the CIS IPA Council, Diana Survilaitė, and the project manager of Travel Hub “Commonwealth”, Yulia Zaykova.
The parties discussed issues related to the development of tourism within the Commonwealth. During the meeting, it was emphasized that the international tourism forum Travel HUB “Commonwealth” has become a highly demanded platform for discussing current industry issues and presenting the tourism potential of CIS countries. The forum has already been held in Belarus, Tajikistan, and Russia’s Dagestan region. The parties discussed the possibility of holding Travel HUB “Commonwealth” in Uzbekistan in 2027.
Dmitry Kobitsky noted that within the structure of the Assembly there is a specialized commission on information, culture, tourism, and sport, which is traditionally headed by representatives of Uzbekistan.
The parties agreed to continue cooperation, including the participation of the Uzbek side in the online session “Travel Hub ‘Commonwealth’ Online,” which will take place on June 1.
