International conference and festival aimed at developing tourism will be held in the Republic of Karakalpakstan

To enhance the tourism potential of the Khojeyli and Takhtakupyr districts of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, as well as to promote cultural heritage sites, the III International Conference titled “Enhancing Cultural Awareness and Developing Environmentally Sustainable Tourism” and the III festival “Mizdakhan — a Sacred and Mysterious Place” are scheduled to take place on April 23–25 of this year.
As part of the three-day program, international experts and university lecturers will conduct training sessions. In addition, a national cuisine competition and a concert program will be held at the “Karateren” ethno-tourism complex in the Takhtakupyr district, while a national costume exhibition and a concert will take place in the Khojeyli district.
Guided tours to the ancient Mizdakhan site and the State Museum of Arts of the Republic of Karakalpakstan named after Savitsky are also planned.
