Traditional “Nasreddin Afandi” and “Oriental Cuisine” Festivals to be held in Bukhara

On April 1 — World Laughter Day, the traditional “Nasreddin Afandi” and “Oriental Cuisine” festivals will take place in Bukhara.

The celebration will feature short humorous and satirical performances, jokes, and colorful legends related to the famous folk character Khoja Nasreddin and his everyday adventures.
Visitors of the “Oriental Cuisine” festival will also have the opportunity to taste a wide variety of delicious dishes and sweets from Uzbekistan’s national cuisine.
For reference: The “Nasreddin Afandi” festival will be held near the Nodir Devonbegi Madrasah, by the statue of Nasreddin Afandi, while the “Oriental Cuisine” festival will take place in front of the pool at the entrance to Samanid Park.
