The exhibition is taking place from March 20 to 22 and brings together representatives of the tourism industry, companies, and international organizations from around the world.
This year, Uzbekistan is one of the central participants, widely showcasing its rich historical and cultural heritage, tourism potential, and modern opportunities within the tourism industry.
In particular, the international audience is being introduced to the cities of the Great Silk Road — Samarkand, Bukhara, Khiva, and Tashkent — as well as national traditions, gastronomy, and new tourism destinations. The partner country status provides Uzbekistan with an opportunity to conduct large-scale presentations and negotiations with international partners during the exhibition.
Already on the first day, eight tourism companies are actively participating at Uzbekistan’s national stand. They are presenting their tourism products, establishing new partnerships, and promoting the country’s tourism potential in the European market. In addition, the national stand was visited by high-level representatives of the tourism industry, leadership of the Catalan tourism organization, representatives of the Barcelona Tourism Board, regional tourism authorities, minister-level guests, and consuls of several foreign countries.
As part of the event, a special presentation dedicated to the tourism potential of Uzbekistan was held, with the participation of around 60 of the largest tour operators in Barcelona. Detailed information was provided on the country’s tourism destinations, new tourism products, transport and logistics capabilities, and investment potential, and promotional videos were showcased. The presentation generated strong interest among participants and created a solid foundation for establishing a number of partnership relations.
The B-Travel exhibition is one of Europe’s largest tourism platforms, annually attracting thousands of visitors and hundreds of participants.
Uzbekistan’s participation as a partner country contributes to strengthening its tourism brand on the international stage, opening new markets, and increasing inbound tourist flows.
