During the talks, the parties noted the high level of strategic cooperation and the shared commitment of both countries to advancing regional integration in the field of tourism.
The meeting focused on key areas of partnership, including the development of joint cross-border tourist routes along the “Great Silk Road,” promotion of cultural clusters linking Samarkand, Turkistan, and Almaty, as well as the digitalization of the tourism sector through modern IT solutions, analytics, and marketing platforms. The sides also discussed joint educational programs and professional development for tour guides, hospitality specialists, and other tourism professionals.
Particular attention was given to increasing mutual tourist flows and promoting the countries of Central Asia as a unified tourism macro-region in global markets, including the European direction — a central topic of the “Central Asia–EU” Forum.
