During the talks, the parties reviewed the current state of bilateral cooperation and key directions for further collaboration in tourism, sustainable mobility, and transport. Special attention was given to tourism workforce development, including opportunities to engage European educational platforms, professional development programs, and experience exchange. In addition, the potential for organizing the next forum on a regular basis, with an expanded geography of participants and thematic tracks, was explored. The meeting also addressed transport connectivity, the expansion of air links, and the facilitation of tourist travel between Central Asia and EU countries. Best practices from the EU in sustainable tourism, service digitalization, and the promotion of “green” tourist routes were also discussed.
The European side highly appreciated Uzbekistan’s initiative to create a new interregional platform “Central Asia–EU” and expressed readiness to support its further development, as well as the professional growth of Uzbek specialists in the tourism sector.
Following the meeting, both parties confirmed their commitment to deepening the strategic partnership aimed at enhancing the competitiveness of the tourism industry, strengthening human capital, and expanding cooperation between the European Union and Central Asia.
