Friendship and Cooperation Between Fergana Region and Hubei Province Reach a New Stage

During the meeting, it was emphasized that cooperation between Uzbekistan and China is expanding on a large scale, with strategic partnership relations steadily developing, and that regular dialogue and fruitful interaction at the level of the heads of state are playing a vital role in strengthening these ties.
It was noted that the visit of the Vice-Governor of Hubei Province to Fergana is a vivid expression of these friendly relations. Confidence was expressed that this meeting would elevate cooperation between Fergana Region and Hubei Province to a new stage in the fields of economy, investment, culture, and tourism.
Governor Khayrullo Bozorov underlined that the relations between the peoples of our countries are closely linked with the history of the Great Silk Road, and that the construction of the China–Kyrgyzstan–Uzbekistan railway will further strengthen these ties and expand the scope of cooperation.
During the open dialogue, attention was drawn to the fact that China is one of the largest investors in Uzbekistan’s economy, with more than 250 enterprises in Fergana Region currently operating with Chinese capital.
It was also noted that, with the support of the heads of state, interregional cooperation is steadily developing, opening wide opportunities for investors.
Information was provided about the economic and investment potential of Fergana Region, as well as the favorable conditions created for investors.
The meeting discussed prospects for cooperation with Hubei Province in the areas of industry, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, education, tourism, and culture. Special attention was given to establishing partnerships between higher education institutions and implementing projects on the production of electrical engineering products in Fergana.
At the conclusion of the meeting, a Memorandum of Understanding on Friendship and Cooperation was signed between Fergana Region and Hubei Province.
