After that, the Chinese investors presented their proposals in the field of healthcare. In particular, they noted the possibility of producing in local conditions some of the latest medical innovations, including hemostatic drugs used to stop bleeding, as well as more than 130 types of pharmaceutical products that meet international standards. It was emphasized that the region has the necessary raw material base for this.

The regional governor supported these initiatives and proposed the establishment of a pharmaceutical cluster – a special pharma zone – where scientific laboratories would also be located. He also expressed readiness for cooperation in the construction of housing and infrastructure facilities, depending on the nature of the investors’ activities.

In addition, the governor held talks with Liu Hui, Chairman of the Board of “Chengli Group”. During the meeting, it was noted that friendly and trustworthy relations between Uzbekistan and China are strengthening, and due to the favorable investment climate in our region, the number of enterprises with Chinese capital is steadily increasing.

“Chengli Group” is a manufacturer of more than 200 types of special equipment used in public utilities, construction, fire safety, industry, and logistics. The parties discussed the possibility of setting up certain areas of this production in Fergana as well.

During the talks, the governor emphasized the importance of producing export-oriented, competitive, and high-quality products, attracting the most modern technologies, and creating new jobs.

Agreements were reached on taking the proposed projects to the stage of practical implementation.
