Cooperation is being established between Fergana region and the city of Tianjin

The regional leader noted that relations between Uzbekistan and China have entered a new stage of comprehensive strategic partnership, and that China is Uzbekistan’s largest trade and investment partner. In recent years, interregional cooperation has been developing rapidly, with many promising projects being implemented. In particular, effective and mutually beneficial ties have also been established in our region.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the development of trade, economic, and investment cooperation between Fergana Region and Tianjin City, establishing contacts between the regions as well as their chambers of commerce and industry, and implementing promising projects.
Information was provided on the economic and investment potential of Fergana Region, available opportunities, and the favorable conditions created for foreign investors in special industrial zones.
Chinese investors put forward a number of proposals, including the construction of a technopark and the wide involvement of investors in it, modern packaging of food and meat products, and the production of veterinary medicines.
The Governor emphasized the importance of implementing promising projects focused on producing import-substituting and export-oriented goods, applying advanced technologies, and creating new jobs. He also expressed readiness to provide full support in the realization of mutually beneficial projects, and specific measures of cooperation were outlined.
