Tourism Potential of Shakhimardan and Yordon to Be Further Enhanced

Today, the governor, together with responsible officials, visited these villages to study the area further and provide instructions for improving the master plan.
With their majestic mountains, crystal-clear streams, and unique natural beauty, these destinations already attract local and foreign visitors. Now, they are set to acquire a new and modern look.
Measures will be taken to effectively use historical monuments, pilgrimage sites, healing springs, natural reservoirs, and waterfalls to develop tourism. Shakhimardan will be further improved as a center of pilgrimage tourism, while Yordon village will focus on eco-tourism. Plans include introducing winter sports such as skiing, as well as rowing and boating on local water reservoirs.
In addition, world-class tourism facilities will be developed in both areas, including restaurants, hotels, capsule houses, service and trade centers, green zones, playgrounds, sports fields, attractions, and eco-paths. Construction of a cable car and bridges is also planned. All conditions will be created for year-round recreation, with more than 20 types of services offered to tourists. Handicraft trade shops will also be established.
During the visit, the regional governor proposed a number of initiatives to ensure a well-elaborated master plan, provide modern infrastructure, and most importantly, turn these villages into contemporary tourism hubs with all the necessary amenities for visitors. Relevant officials were given instructions and guidance.
