The opening ceremony was attended by the Governor of Fergana region, Khayrullo Bozorov, investors, and representatives of the public.
In his remarks, the Governor congratulated participants on the launch of this important and promising project. He emphasized that, thanks to the President’s initiatives, all sectors of industry, including the jewelry sector, are actively developing in Uzbekistan. Producers are being supported through reforms and incentives, and this new enterprise is a tangible outcome of those efforts.
It was noted that the opening of the plant marks another historic milestone for the region. The initiative represents an important step not only in strengthening the domestic jewelry market but also in positioning products in international markets.
Jewelry craftsmanship has deep historical roots in Uzbekistan, particularly in the Fergana Valley. Today, it has become essential to transform this traditional craft into modern industry. Within a short time, the enterprise has been launched at full capacity.
Attention was drawn to the fact that, as part of the implementation of the Presidential Resolution “On additional measures to support jewelry production,” Fergana has become home to the country’s third jewelry center.
This will create new opportunities and advantages for producers, enabling rapid development and quicker access to the market.
Project initiators and the leadership of the “Uzbekzargarsanoati” Association were thanked for their cooperation, with hopes expressed that the new center will distinguish itself on the global jewelry industry stage.
Turkish investor Jemil Aklli and Azerbaijani entrepreneur Nail Shakhverdiyev also spoke, stressing that this project is just the beginning and expressing readiness for further collaboration on promising initiatives.
The foreign company “AMASTA”, under its brand “Ferga gold”, aims to enter both domestic and international markets by combining compliance with global standards, contemporary design, and high quality.
The plant is equipped with the latest advanced technologies. The project is valued at USD 6 million and is expected to create 300 high-income jobs, with 60 employees already hired.
In partnership with Turkish and Azerbaijani investors, the plant will annually produce 1.5 tons of jewelry worth 2.2 trillion soums.
Jewelry produced in Fergana will be sold not only domestically but also exported to major markets, including the USA, UAE, Singapore, Turkey, and China.
During the event, a symbolic ribbon was cut, and guests were introduced to the plant’s production processes and products.
