The Vileyka Reservoir is the largest artificial body of water in Belarus and one of the country's important tourism and recreational destinations.
The reservoir covers a water surface area of 64.6 square kilometers and stretches 27 kilometers in length. The surrounding area features agritourism facilities, modern recreation centers, campsites, and glamping complexes. Favorable conditions have also been created for sailing, rowing, and other water sports.
Particular attention is being paid to developing tourism infrastructure, providing modern services for visitors, and making effective use of the area's natural potential. Several recreational facilities in the Vileyka District have received recognition at the Minsk Region level for their high standards of landscaping and maintenance.
During the visit, the delegation explored the existing opportunities around the reservoir, the range of tourism services available, and the area's investment potential.
Entrepreneurs from Fergana Region are planning to establish a modern tourism complex in the Vileyka Reservoir area. The initiative envisages the development of recreational and hotel services, the creation of comfortable infrastructure for tourists, and the enhancement of the area's attractiveness as a tourist destination.
