Organized through the cooperation of the Minsk Branch of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Minsk Regional Executive Committee, this event was highly significant as it served to expand economic ties and infuse new practical substance into the interregional strategic partnership defined by the heads of the two states.
Speaking at the opening of the forum themed "Minsk and Fergana Regions: Joint Growth Strategy," Islam Madaminov, Deputy Governor of the Fergana Region, and Aleksandr Logvin, Chief of Staff of the Minsk Regional Executive Committee, emphasized that cooperation between Uzbekistan and Belarus is developing at a new stage.
The business forum provided detailed information about the business climate in Belarus, the economic and industrial potential of the Fergana Region, and the extensive opportunities and incentives created for foreign investors.
In particular, the prospects for implementing joint projects within the region's existing free economic zones and small industrial zones aroused great interest among the participants. Discussions focused on cooperation in projects covering fields such as industrial co-production, the automotive industry, textiles and light industry, agriculture, and the food industry.
Direct business-to-business (B2B) negotiations were organized between the entrepreneurs of the two countries as part of the event.
As a result of the meetings, nearly twenty prospective agreements and memorandums were signed, aimed at increasing the export volume of the Fergana Region, attracting advanced Belarusian technologies and investments to the area, and establishing mutual product supply channels.
