The governor praised the shrine’s renewed appearance and the facilities provided for pilgrims.
“Yozyovon is truly taking on a new look and developing in every respect. The pilgrimage site has also become a beautiful and welcoming place. The work carried out here deserves high praise. I thank everyone who contributed,” the governor said.
A total of UZS 3.4 billion was allocated to improving the pilgrimage site. Extensive work was undertaken to upgrade infrastructure, provide amenities for pilgrims and landscape the grounds. In particular, mobile retail outlets were set up, and more than a thousand fruit and ornamental tree saplings were planted.
The governor also viewed rare artefacts being collected for the Yozyovon Local History Museum, which is being established on the shrine’s grounds. Reflecting the district’s history, the way of life of its people and their rich cultural heritage, these items will help younger generations learn more about the past.
Verses from the Quran were recited, and prayers were offered for peace in the country, the well-being of its people and the nation’s prosperity.
