In accordance with the visit programme, delegations from Russian regions are touring major industrial enterprises, promising investment projects and production facilities across the region to gain a closer insight into its industrial potential.
The events are attended by delegations headed by Governor of the Novosibirsk Region Andrey Travnikov and Governor of the Krasnoyarsk Territory Mikhail Kotyukov, as well as heads and senior representatives of other Russian regions, ministries and government agencies, sectoral organisations, chambers of commerce and industry, and the business community.
The guests are accompanied by Governor of the Fergana Region Khayrullo Bozorov.
The delegations first visited the Crown Ceramic joint venture, located within the Kokand Free Economic Zone branch in the city of Kuvasay.
The guests were shown the porcelain stoneware tile production process, modern technological lines and the enterprise’s production facilities.
With an annual production capacity of 8 million square metres of porcelain stoneware tiles, the project has the potential to manufacture products worth UZS 1 trillion, generate UZS 665 billion in added value, and export products worth USD 35 million.
The share of locally sourced raw materials used at the enterprise stands at 97 percent. The company manufactures export-oriented large-format porcelain stoneware tiles, which are relatively uncommon in the markets of Central Asia and Eastern Europe. The products are manufactured in six different sizes.
In terms of quality and technical specifications, the company’s products are competitive with leading products manufactured in Italy, Spain and China. Currently, the products are exported to a number of neighbouring countries.
During the visit, representatives of the Russian regions were provided with detailed information about the investment project implemented at the enterprise, its production capacity, localisation level and export potential.
