During the meeting, the parties discussed the ongoing work under an international education program, as well as a project to establish a technical college for digital professions in the city of Fergana.
Synergy is one of Russia’s largest education and innovation clusters, comprising more than 50 organizations. Synergy University forms the core of the cluster.
As part of efforts to develop the Synergy education ecosystem in Uzbekistan, a project is being implemented to establish a technical college for digital professions on the premises of Technical College No. 1 in Fergana. In addition, for the first time in the region, a project under an international education program has been launched, with classes already underway.
At the initial stage of the project, the technical college is expected to enroll up to 600 students, while international dual education programs will cover 120 students and IT courses will accommodate up to 1,100 learners.
The educational programs will train specialists in modern IT fields, including programming, artificial intelligence, graphic design, 3D modeling, robotics, cybersecurity, and other areas.
One of the key features of the project is its dual education system, designed to integrate academic learning with practical experience. Students will combine their studies with work at enterprises, allowing them to apply and reinforce their knowledge and skills in real-world settings. Qualified specialists from Russia will also be engaged to teach students.
In addition to the establishment of the technical college, the meeting included an exchange of views on training professionals in occupations and specialties that are in the highest demand in the regional labor market. It was noted that the technical college for digital professions is scheduled to begin operations in December of this year.
The parties also discussed the next stages of the project, adapting educational programs to the needs of the region, strengthening cooperation with employers, and developing modern IT education infrastructure in Fergana.
