Speaking at the event, Governor of Fergana Region Khayrullo Bozorov noted that football is more than just a sport. It is an important force that brings millions of people together around a common goal, creates positive emotions and a sense of unity, and strengthens bonds of friendship between nations.

Particular recognition was given to young people from Fergana Region and the Fergana Valley who are studying and working in the Republic of Korea. By coming together to establish the Neftchi Korea football team, they have been actively and successfully participating in local competitions.

The Governor noted that this initiative not only unites young people around a common goal, but also helps promote Fergana’s football traditions, Neftchi Football Club, and Uzbekistan more broadly in Korea. He expressed his gratitude to the young people for their efforts.

He also wished Paju Frontier FC every success in its journey to becoming a strong and successful team with its own distinguished name and achievements.

Paju Frontier FC General Manager Hwangbo Kwan also spoke about the prospects for developing cooperation between the two clubs, emphasizing the importance of exchanging experience, improving players’ skills, and supporting young football talents.

At the conclusion of the meeting, a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between Fergana’s Neftchi Football Club and Korea’s Paju Frontier FC.
