Advanced South Korean Medical Practices to Be Introduced in Fergana Region

During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on developing cooperation in healthcare, introducing advanced medical practices in Fergana Region, enhancing the professional qualifications of specialists, and establishing experience-sharing programs.
The Hokim of Fergana Region noted that in recent years, Uzbekistan has been implementing large-scale reforms aimed at improving the healthcare system, enhancing the quality and efficiency of medical services, and widely introducing modern diagnostic and treatment methods. It was emphasized that developing cooperation with the world’s leading medical institutions, including renowned hospitals in the Republic of Korea, plays an important role in this process.
During the discussions, proposals were put forward to send doctors from Fergana Region to Seoul National University Bundang Hospital for advanced professional training, organize master classes and training courses in Fergana with the participation of leading Korean specialists, and facilitate the exchange of experience in modern diagnostic and treatment methods.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the parties agreed to continue their cooperation through the development of a joint roadmap.
Seoul National University Bundang Hospital is one of the major university medical centers in the Republic of Korea, specializing in high-tech diagnostics and treatment, scientific research, and the development of medical information technologies. The hospital has widely implemented advanced digital systems for managing medical processes and provides medical services to approximately 1.7 million patients annually.
