Today, ceremonial “First Bell” events dedicated to Knowledge Day were held at educational institutions across Fergana Region, bringing together thousands of students, teachers and parents.
A solemn ceremony marking the beginning of the new academic year was held at the Fergana Branch of the Muhammad al-Khwarizmi Specialized School in the city of Fergana.
The event was attended by Khayrullo Bozorov, Governor of Fergana Region, representatives of the public, students, teachers and mentors, as well as parents.
At the beginning of the ceremony, the Governor read out the congratulatory message from the President addressed to school students, teachers and mentors across the country.
He sincerely congratulated those present on the 35th anniversary of Uzbekistan’s independence and Knowledge Day.
In his remarks, Khayrullo Bozorov highlighted the crucial role of education and science in the country’s development, as well as the ongoing efforts to provide the younger generation with quality education, equip them with modern knowledge and professional skills, and further enhance the status and prestige of teachers in society.
It was noted that, under the leadership of the President, particular attention is being paid to developing the education system, enhancing the intellectual potential of young people and creating favorable conditions for their education, growth and development.
It was emphasized that young people are the “golden fund” of our country and a great force that will build the New Uzbekistan and lay the foundations for the Third Renaissance.
Particular attention was drawn to the fact that the practical results of the reforms being implemented in the education sector are clearly evident in Fergana Region as well.
Currently, 432 students are studying at the Fergana Branch of the Muhammad al-Khwarizmi Specialized School.
More than 7,900 candidates applied for admission to the school for the new academic year. Following the selection process, 72 students were admitted. This means that approximately 115 candidates competed for each available place.
These figures demonstrate the growing interest of young people in acquiring knowledge, the increasing demand for quality education and the development of healthy competition among talented students.
During the event, confidence was expressed that this educational institution will nurture outstanding scientists, inventors and thinkers who will worthily continue the great scientific traditions of Muhammad al-Khwarizmi, Ahmad al-Fergani and our other illustrious ancestors.
Representatives of the older generation also addressed the gathering and extended their warm wishes to the students.
A collection of books was presented to the school on behalf of the Governor of Fergana Region.
The first bell of the new academic year then rang, marking the beginning of classes.
The guests familiarized themselves with the conditions created for students at the educational institution. They visited the school’s laboratories, modern classrooms, sports hall and dining facilities.
The students presented an educational platform they had developed to expand opportunities for admission to prestigious universities abroad and also showcased their achievements in robotics.
The first lesson of the new academic year at the educational institution began with a “Future Hour” session.
Governor of Fergana Region Khayrullo Bozorov also conducted a “Future Hour” lesson for 10th-grade students. During the session, which took place in an atmosphere of sincere and open dialogue, particular emphasis was placed on the importance of knowledge and enlightenment, respect for universal and national values, and love and devotion to the Motherland in the lives of young people.
Khayrullo Bozorov encouraged the students to set ambitious goals, acquire profound knowledge and grow into true patriots capable of making a worthy contribution to the prosperity of their Motherland. He wished them every success in their studies and future endeavors.
At the conclusion of the event, Governor of Fergana Region Khayrullo Bozorov left his warm wishes in the educational institution’s Book of Honored Guests.
