Sokh District to Become One of the Most Developed Districts

The meeting was attended by deputy regional governors, heads of organizations and departments, and responsible officials.
At the beginning of the meeting, the progress of efforts to move Sokh District out of the category of territories facing difficult socio-economic conditions, ensure employment, develop entrepreneurship, and further develop the district based on new approaches was analyzed. Currently, 60 billion soums have been allocated for these areas, while construction and improvement works are underway at 25 sites.
The meeting also reviewed in detail the implementation of the tasks outlined in the Resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated July 8 this year, “On Measures to Ensure the Socio-Economic Development of Sokh District in 2026–2028, Ensure Employment of the Population and Accelerate the Development of Entrepreneurship through the Effective Utilization of Existing Reserves and Opportunities.”
Responsible officials were assigned specific tasks to ensure the timely and high-quality implementation of the measures stipulated in the resolution, make effective use of available opportunities, attract new investment projects, increase employment, and further strengthen the economic potential of the district.
