Speaking at the event, the Governor of Fergana Region congratulated those gathered on the country’s most significant and cherished holiday — the 35th anniversary of Uzbekistan’s independence. He noted that the large-scale reforms being implemented in the country are producing practical results across all areas. In particular, it was emphasized that extensive development and construction work has also been carried out in Yazyavan District in recent years.

It was also noted that expanding the use of alternative energy sources and producing modern, environmentally friendly vehicles are among the key demands of the present day. The project being launched in Yazyavan is a practical manifestation of these efforts. Initially, the enterprise will manufacture electric buses, while production of electric trucks will be launched at a later stage.

The project will contribute to further increasing the industrial potential of Fergana Region and creating new jobs. The products manufactured will be supplied not only to the domestic market but also exported to foreign countries.

The project is being implemented on a 10-hectare site within the special industrial zone located in the “Ijodkor” mahalla of Yazyavan District. With a total investment of $170 million, the project will create production capacity for 700 electric buses annually. The enterprise is scheduled to be commissioned in December 2027.

At the event, poetess Uktamkhon Solieva, a recipient of the Order of “Sog‘lom avlod uchun” (For a Healthy Generation), 2nd Class, also spoke. On behalf of district activists and respected elders, she expressed gratitude to the President of Uzbekistan for the reforms being implemented in the country and the opportunities being created.

Prayers were offered for peace and prosperity in the country, as well as for the successful implementation of the project.

The event concluded with the laying of the foundation stone for the enterprise, officially marking the start of construction works.
