Economic Ties Between Fergana and Afghanistan Are Expanding

Within the framework of the visit of the Fergana region delegation led by the regional governor to Afghanistan on July 26–27 of this year, a series of official meetings and business dialogues were held. These sessions aimed at developing trade, economic, and investment cooperation, as well as strengthening mutually beneficial relations. During the visit, important agreements were reached in various sectors, and trade houses of the Fergana region launched their operations in the cities of Kabul and Mazar-i-Sharif.
Today's meeting served as a continuation of those agreements, focusing on transitioning the cooperation into a practical phase and launching new joint investment projects.
Afghan entrepreneurs expressed their interest in cooperating with the Fergana region in the fields of construction, textiles, agriculture, and aviation. The discussions highlighted new projects and initiatives planned for implementation alongside local entrepreneurs in these fields.
Regional Governor Khayrullo Bozorov emphasized that trade and economic ties between Uzbekistan and Afghanistan are consistently developing, and noted that the delegation’s visit is opening broad avenues for new initiatives. He stressed the importance of effectively utilizing existing opportunities to implement new projects with Afghan businesspeople and expanding practical cooperation in every direction.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the parties agreed to accelerate the implementation of joint investment projects, ensure the execution of existing agreements, and elevate the cooperation to a new level.
