Fergana regional administration

The meeting reviewed the tasks set by the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as the implementation of instructions issued during the previous assessment conducted a month ago.

Particular attention was paid to efforts to ensure employment, reduce poverty, and create new sources of income for the population. Tasks were outlined to expand high-income areas of agriculture, develop raspberry farming, intensive horticulture, greenhouse farming, livestock breeding and mushroom cultivation, as well as implement projects for the processing and storage of agricultural products and the development of agro-logistics. Special attention was paid to establishing cooperatives based on China’s experience.

It was emphasized that tourism should become one of the main drivers of the district’s development. Tasks were set to make effective use of the natural potential of Chimyоn, Shohimardon, Yordon, Avval and Vodil, establish recreation areas, guest houses and service facilities, create an agro-tourism cluster, and develop new tourism brands.

It was noted that Fergana District should become Uzbekistan’s “Eastern Tourist Resort Gateway.”

The meeting also addressed issues related to construction, the renovation and equipping of educational institutions, the development of sports facilities, creating decent conditions for employees of the mahalla system, and improving the effectiveness of crime prevention efforts.

At the conclusion of the meeting, responsible officials were given the necessary instructions and assignments to ensure the high-quality and timely implementation of the tasks set.
