Experience in Tulip Cultivation Being Expanded in Irgoli Mahalla

There are 5,042 residents and 1,022 households in Irgoli Mahalla.
In accordance with the instructions of the regional governor, tulip cultivation is being developed in the mahalla as a key driver of local economic development. As part of the project, 50 households in the mahalla are planned to specialize in tulip cultivation during 2026–2027. In this process, the experience of entrepreneur Shukhratjon Khursanov, who has been growing Dutch tulips in the area for several years and generating high income, will be widely utilized.
It is also planned to establish a laboratory, training center, and specialized storage facilities for tulip cultivation in the area. Young specialist Khushnudbek Alijonov will work as an agronomist as part of the project.
At the initial stage, 10 households were selected under the “Every Family is an Entrepreneur” program, and tulip cultivation has already begun. Going forward, the goal is to fully utilize the potential of the 250 greenhouses available in the mahalla.
International experience is also being effectively utilized in the implementation of the project. In particular, advanced practices in floriculture developed in China and neighboring Kyrgyzstan have been studied.
Tulips will be grown in greenhouses using hydroponic technology. The cultivation of Dutch tulips creates an opportunity to generate a net income of up to 280–300 million soums from one sotix of land.
Efforts to ensure employment for women in the mahalla are also continuing. In particular, a sewing workshop has been established in a former building that was renovated through hashar, a community-based voluntary initiative.
Under the leadership of entrepreneur and seamstress Dilnoza Muhammadaliyeva, the workshop has provided permanent employment to 20 unemployed women. In the future, it is planned to expand production capacity and export finished products, particularly to the Russian market.
The regional governor stated that initiatives aimed at making effective use of the existing potential, creating new sources of income, and ensuring employment for the population, especially women, would be supported.
Relevant officials were given the necessary recommendations and instructions on the effective implementation of projects, efficient use of existing opportunities, and ensuring employment for the population.v
