Modern Shooting Sports Complex Commissioned in Fergana

The grand opening ceremony was attended by the Governor of the Fergana Region, Khayrullo Bozorov, the Minister of Defense of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Lieutenant General Shukhrat Kholmukhamedov, military personnel, young athletes, and public representatives.
Speaking at the event, Minister of Defense Sh. Kholmukhamedov emphasized that the President of the country and Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces pays immense attention to the further development of sports in the republic, noting the growing popularity of shooting sports in particular. It was highlighted that 116 sports clubs have been established across the regions today, and Uzbek athletes are achieving top results in various international competitions. It was also stated that 184 young people are currently practicing this sport in the Fergana region, winning prestigious titles at various tournaments.
The participants noted that the decree of the Head of State "On measures to further develop and popularize shooting sports" dated November 4, 2024, plays a crucial role in this direction, paving the way for the creation of modern infrastructure in the field. This complex, built by the military-administrative sector of the Fergana regional administration, stands as a practical reflection of these noble initiatives.
A total of 5 billion soums was allocated for the construction of the facility. The construction works were completed in a short period by "Margilon Binokor Tamir-Qurilish" LLC, resulting in a training center that meets the highest modern standards.
The complex provides all the necessary conditions for military personnel and athletes to sharpen their marksmanship skills. Specifically, it features 3 special training areas, a theoretical preparation classroom, as well as essential utility and service rooms for the personnel.
The Regional Governor, Khayrullo Bozorov, also congratulated everyone on the opening of the new sports complex. He emphasized that extensive work is being carried out in the country to involve youth in sports, and this complex provides great opportunities for them. Noting the dynamic development of shooting sports, he wished the athletes success in upcoming high-profile competitions.
As part of the event, Governor Khayrullo Bozorov was awarded the Ministry of Defense's badge "For Active Participation in the Military-Patriotic Education of the Young Generation."
