Fergana–Balkh Business Forum Held in Mazar-i-Sharif

The event was attended by the Governor of Fergana Region, Khayrullo Bozorov, officials of Balkh Province, representatives of the chambers of commerce and industry, as well as more than 300 representatives of major companies, enterprises, and business circles.
Addressing the forum, Governor Khayrullo Bozorov emphasized that multifaceted cooperation between Uzbekistan and Afghanistan has entered a new stage in recent years. He noted that particular attention is being paid to strengthening direct ties between the regions of the two countries.
It was highlighted that the business forum would serve as an important platform for further strengthening trade and economic relations between Fergana Region and Balkh Province, implementing new investment projects, and establishing long-term partnerships between entrepreneurs.
The participants also noted the significant potential for cooperation in agriculture, trade, construction, pharmaceuticals, the textile industry, food processing, as well as the cultivation and processing of fruit and vegetable products.
Chairman of the Balkh Chamber of Commerce and Investment Ibrahim Ghazanfar and other speakers underlined that bilateral business meetings play a vital role in expanding economic cooperation, building new partnerships, and implementing joint investment projects between the two regions.
During the forum, a memorandum was signed between the Fergana Regional Administration and Kamal Nabizada Ltd on the establishment of the Fergana Trade House in Mazar-i-Sharif. Another memorandum was signed between the Chambers of Commerce and Industry of the two regions on supporting entrepreneurship and implementing joint investment projects.
The forum also featured B2B meetings, where business representatives discussed mutually beneficial areas of cooperation and reached agreements on establishing joint ventures, supplying products, and implementing investment projects.
The business forum, jointly organized by the Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce and Investment and the administrations of Fergana Region and Balkh Province, will contribute to building new bridges of cooperation between the business communities of the two regions, increasing bilateral trade, and implementing promising economic projects.
