Fergana and Afghan Entrepreneurs to Jointly Implement Promising Projects

The meeting was also attended by the Governor of Fergana Region, Khayrullo Bozorov.
The parties discussed expanding bilateral cooperation, implementing joint investment projects, and strengthening industrial cooperation.
Governor Khayrullo Bozorov emphasized that the Fergana Region attaches great importance to enhancing mutually beneficial trade and economic relations with Afghanistan's regions and business community, as well as implementing joint industrial and investment projects. He also noted that expanding economic cooperation in promising sectors remains one of the region's key priorities.
During the meeting, the sides also exchanged views on projects proposed by Green Infrastructure Investments Group LLC, based in Yazyavan District. These initiatives include the production of smart electricity meters in Afghanistan, the introduction of modern electricity management systems, and the expansion of cooperation in the information technology (IT) sector.
The Afghanistan State Corporations Authority is the government institution responsible for coordinating the activities of state-owned corporations, ensuring the efficient management of public assets, providing financial and operational oversight, and implementing privatization processes. Since 2022, the Authority has been carrying out a comprehensive reform program for state-owned enterprises and corporations.
The Authority also supports state-owned enterprises by facilitating additional financing, introducing modern technologies and equipment, expanding production capacity, and strengthening the professional capabilities of management personnel. In addition, it serves as one of the government's key institutions responsible for implementing socially significant infrastructure projects.
Furthermore, the Authority is implementing major projects in the mining industry, construction materials and cement production, telecommunications, optical fiber communication technologies, and agricultural production.
The organization also actively promotes trade and industrial cooperation, supports manufacturing and exports, organizes exhibitions, implements vocational training programs, and encourages the development of local entrepreneurship.
