Fergana Region Delegation Participates in Uzbekistan–Afghanistan Business Forum Held in Kabul

The major economic event was organized at a high level through the joint efforts of the Ministry of Investments, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan, and the Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce and Investment.
The forum brought together heads of relevant ministries and government agencies, leaders of industry associations, as well as more than 400 leading entrepreneurs and investors representing various sectors of the economies of the two countries.
The delegation of Fergana Region, led by Governor Khayrullo Bozorov, also took an active part in the forum.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan Jamshid Khodjaev and Afghanistan's Minister of Industry and Commerce Nooruddin Azizi emphasized that the business forum would serve as an effective platform for elevating bilateral business cooperation to a new level, expanding trade and export opportunities, and implementing joint projects in the field of industrial cooperation.
Addressing the forum, Governor of Fergana Region Khayrullo Bozorov noted that the business forum opens up significant opportunities for entrepreneurs. He presented the investment potential of Fergana Region and highlighted the broad prospects for strengthening industrial cooperation, implementing joint manufacturing projects, and expanding export and import opportunities.
The Governor also proposed holding a business forum in Fergana Region with the participation of Afghan entrepreneurs.
As part of the event, B2B meetings and negotiations were organized between entrepreneurs from the two countries. The participants discussed in detail the development of mutually beneficial cooperation in the textile industry, agriculture, construction materials manufacturing, and logistics. Entrepreneurs from Fergana Region also reached a number of important business agreements.
At the conclusion of the forum, several promising agreements and contracts aimed at further strengthening trade and economic cooperation between Uzbekistan and Afghanistan were signed.
