Fergana regional administration

The meeting was attended by the heads of the law enforcement agencies of the two regions, the governors of Fergana and Kadamjay districts, as well as other senior officials.

The working meeting marked an important step toward elevating cross-border cooperation to a new level, implementing joint projects, and further strengthening the long-standing ties of friendship and good-neighborliness between the two neighboring regions.

The program began at the Hazrat Ali Pilgrimage Complex, where the guests were presented with a showcase of promising projects aimed at unlocking the tourism potential of the villages of Shakhimardan and Yardan. Participants were introduced to plans for developing modern tourism infrastructure and creating new travel routes.

Governor of Fergana Region Khayrullo Bozorov emphasized that the friendly relations between Fergana and Batken regions continue to grow stronger and more dynamic. He also highlighted the broad opportunities for jointly implementing major investment projects that would benefit both regions.

Special attention was given to the significant tourism potential of Shakhimardan and the Dugoba area of Kadamjay District. In particular, the participants stressed the importance of establishing a Shakhimardan–Dugoba Free Tourism Zone, increasing the flow of tourists between the two regions, and creating comfortable, internationally compliant conditions for visitors.

At the Hazrat Ali Pilgrimage Complex, verses from the Holy Quran were recited, followed by prayers for the continued strengthening of friendship and cooperation between Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan, as well as for peace, stability, and prosperity for the peoples of both countries.
