Modern Gymnastics Center Inaugurated in Fergana

The event was attended by Khayrullo Bozorov, Governor of Fergana Region; Adham Ikramov, Minister of Sports of the Republic of Uzbekistan; sports officials, coaches, athletes, and their parents.
Speaking at the ceremony, Governor Khayrullo Bozorov and Minister of Sports Adham Ikramov emphasized that under the leadership of the President, special attention is being paid to the consistent development of physical culture and sports, as well as the creation of modern sports infrastructure for the youth.
It was noted that the new center will play a crucial role in further popularizing gymnastics, scouting talented athletes, and training a professional reserve not only in Fergana Region but across the entire Fergana Valley.
Confidence was expressed that following the ongoing sports reforms in the country, Uzbekistan is achieving remarkable results on the international stage, and this center will also serve to nurture future champions.
The sports complex was built in accordance with international standards. In the first phase of the project, a 174-bed dormitory and a 100-seat cafeteria were constructed, and a sports school specialized in gymnastics was thoroughly renovated. A total of 67 billion soums was allocated for these works. Uzavtosanoat JSC provided significant support during the construction process.
The facility provides all the necessary conditions for up to 150 athletes to train simultaneously. The Ministry of Sports has equipped the center with 91 types of modern sports gear.
Today, nearly 4,000 young people regularly practice gymnastics in Fergana Region. They are trained by more than 100 qualified coaches. Furthermore, the region has trained nearly 60 athletes for the national teams of Uzbekistan.
During the event, a brand-new bus was officially presented to the Gymnastics Center as a gift from the President.
Speaking on behalf of the parents, the speakers expressed their sincere gratitude to the Head of State for the extensive opportunities created for the physical and harmonious development of the younger generation, as well as for their regular sports activities.
At the end of the ceremony, a symbolic ribbon was cut, and the participants took a closer look at the modern conditions created for the athletes in the new center.
