It was noted that Yozyovon is one of the central districts of the Fergana Valley, distinguished by its advantageous geographical location and significant development opportunities. However, it was emphasized that this potential has not yet been fully utilized.
The regional governor stressed that leaders at all levels must be proactive, patriotic, and equipped with modern knowledge while applying advanced international practices in their work. In particular, he highlighted the importance of thoroughly studying and implementing China’s successful economic development experience.
Specific tasks were assigned to maximize the opportunities provided by the A-373 international highway passing through the district. Instructions were given to establish modern logistics centers, hostels and hotels, vehicle service complexes, public catering facilities, and camping sites along the highway.
The meeting also emphasized the need to develop high value-added sectors in agriculture. In particular, tasks were set to expand lemon cultivation and strawberry production, establish infrastructure for cooling, sorting, packaging, and processing agricultural products, as well as develop the cultivation of medicinal plants and create a raw material base for the pharmaceutical and cosmetics industries.
Special attention was paid to the cultivation of blackberries and blueberries, as well as the modernization of rice farming through advanced technologies and the introduction of intensive, high-yield varieties. Plans include implementing a “Smart Rice Farming” model, establishing an agro-service center, and creating the Yozyovon Rice brand.
Relevant instructions were also given to develop the fisheries sector through intensive production methods, introduce modern technologies, establish a system for training industry specialists, and organize a Fishery Festival.
The meeting highlighted the importance of transforming Yozyovon into a regional logistics hub, expanding the service sector, and implementing high-tech, export-oriented projects within the district’s Free Economic Zone.
Tasks were also set to unlock the tourism potential of the Yozyovon Reservoir by developing modern tourism infrastructure, constructing recreation areas, and creating high-quality service facilities.
Officials were instructed to accelerate construction work in the New Uzbekistan residential area, including the establishment of an IT Center, a sports complex, a coworking center, as well as trade and service facilities.
The agenda also covered crime prevention, the organization of sporting events, the development of football, improvement of neighborhood infrastructure, creation of new jobs, and raising the living standards of the population.
At the conclusion of the meeting, responsible officials were assigned clear tasks in every area. Particular emphasis was placed on implementing the planned projects within short timeframes and further accelerating the pace of development across the district.
