At a meeting held in Kushtepa District, the progress of ongoing efforts in these areas, the implementation of the district's socio-economic development program, and the results of a comprehensive assessment of the district were thoroughly reviewed.
Fergana Region Governor Khayrullo Bozorov emphasized that the performance of every leader must be measured by tangible results and that the impact of ongoing reforms should first and foremost be felt in every mahalla and every family.
Specific tasks were outlined to transform Kushtepa District into an area free from unemployment and poverty through the effective use of its existing potential, the creation of new jobs, broader attraction of investment, and the establishment of sustainable sources of income for the population.
This year, the district plans to provide employment for 32,672 residents. During the reporting period, nearly 14,000 people have already been employed.
The meeting also analyzed measures aimed at increasing household incomes, identifying new growth points in the mahallas, and advancing work in the fields of industry, investment, construction, tourism, agriculture, education, and youth policy. Reports on the findings of the regional working groups' comprehensive assessment of the district were also presented.
The analysis revealed that efforts to develop entrepreneurship in the mahallas and provide financial support for micro-projects have not yet reached the required level. Responsible officials were assigned specific tasks to implement the priority areas of the district's comprehensive development.
Particular emphasis was placed on expanding such sectors as leather and footwear manufacturing, furniture production, and metalworking, as well as advancing the agro-industrial sector to a new stage of development.
Responsible officials were instructed to eliminate the identified shortcomings within a short period, ensure strict oversight of the implementation of every project, and deliver practical, measurable results across all sectors.
