The visit marked a practical continuation of the agreements reached during the Governor’s official visit to Malaysia on 1–3 June this year, when the parties agreed to cooperate on the construction of modern residential housing projects in the Fergana Region. During the meeting, the sides discussed the launch of cooperation and the implementation of joint projects in this area.
Governor Khayrullo Bozorov highly praised Malaysia’s advanced experience in the construction sector, noting that large-scale construction is currently underway across Uzbekistan, particularly in the Fergana Region. He emphasized that modern multi-storey residential buildings are being developed extensively to meet the growing housing needs of the population.
The Malaysian investors stated that the main purpose of their visit was to gain first-hand knowledge of the construction projects being implemented in the region, explore promising investment opportunities, and accelerate practical cooperation.
During the meeting, it was emphasized that all necessary conditions would be created for the delegation to visit the land plots proposed for construction, the areas included in the urban renewal (renovation) programme, and modern residential complexes. Responsible officials will be assigned to accompany the delegation and provide comprehensive information on all matters of interest.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the parties agreed to continue systematic efforts to implement promising investment projects and further strengthen bilateral cooperation.
