During the meeting, the work being carried out in all 31 mahallas of Kuvasoy was reviewed in a critical and analytical manner. The results of comprehensive assessments conducted by the working groups, the identified challenges, and the priority measures required to address them were discussed in detail.
Governor Khayrullo Bozorov emphasized that all leaders and responsible officials must ensure the full implementation of every assigned task at every level, demonstrating initiative, professionalism, and dedication. He also stressed that appropriate disciplinary measures would be taken against those who fail to fulfill their responsibilities.
It was noted that although Kuvasoy possesses significant potential in industry, agriculture, and household farming, these opportunities are not yet being fully utilized. In particular, the slow pace of mahalla specialization and the insufficient level of cooperation with leading entrepreneurs were criticized.
During the discussions, information was presented on promising projects aimed at developing the furniture industry, establishing modern greenhouses, and expanding horticulture and vegetable production. The meeting also highlighted the importance of specializing mahallas through the cultivation of high-income crops such as blackberries, raspberries, and blueberries, as well as developing livestock breeding, poultry farming, aquaculture, and beekeeping, while increasing the production of value-added goods.
The high poverty rate in the Ziynat, Hamid Olimjon, and Yoshlik mahallas was addressed separately. Targeted measures were identified, with the participation of local officials, to eliminate the root causes of existing problems and increase household incomes.
The meeting also reviewed ongoing efforts in tourism development, construction, public utilities, and the social sector. In addition, relevant instructions were issued to strengthen crime prevention and ensure a stable social environment in the mahallas.
Governor Khayrullo Bozorov emphasized that transforming Kuvasoy into a key economic transformation area of the Fergana Region is a strategic priority. To achieve this, specific instructions were given to develop the city into the region's second major industrial center, one of its leading hubs for agri-innovation and tourism, establish an Agrotech Park for modern agriculture, implement intensive orchard and advanced vegetable-growing projects, attract new investment projects to industrial zones, and create economic "drivers" and small industrial zones in every mahalla.
The meeting concluded that the primary objective is to fully unlock Kuvasoy's substantial economic potential, create new jobs, improve the well-being of the population, and transform the city into an area free from unemployment and poverty.
