With the support of the regional administration for the initiative proposed by entrepreneur Ulugbek Yodgorov from Dangara district, the “Amateur League” competitions have now been organized at the regional level.
Regional Governor Khayrullo Bozorov met with Ulugbek Yodgorov in Dangara district. During the meeting, they discussed the league’s current activities, the organization of the competitions, and future development plans.
Last year, 107 teams representing local communities participated in the “Amateur League,” and a total of 276 matches were held. More than 3,000 football players took part in the tournament, while the number of football fans and supporters also increased significantly.
For the “Amateur League – 2026” Cup competition, an open call for participation was announced in the district this year, and 76 teams were accepted. Competitive matches are currently taking place across local communities. The next stages of the tournament will be held at the regional level.
As a result of increased attention to football development in Dangara district, 18 new sports grounds have been built in local communities. This is creating broader opportunities for residents, especially young people, to engage in sports on a regular basis.
The regional governor emphasized that such competitions help discover new talented football players from local communities and contribute to the development of football. He also noted that efforts to organize the “Amateur League” at an even higher level and support related initiatives will continue consistently.
During the meeting, the entrepreneur also presented information about the project of a modern sports complex currently under construction in the Aravon neighborhood.
