The regional governor held a meeting with Kaha Imnadze, Head of the United Nations Regional Centre for Preventive Diplomacy for Central Asia.

During the meeting, the parties discussed issues related to strengthening good-neighborly relations among the Central Asian countries, ensuring peace and stability in the region, supporting young people, and enhancing their participation and engagement.
Kaha Imnadze noted that Uzbekistan is serving as an example for other regions in promoting friendly and mutually beneficial relations among the peoples of Central Asia. He particularly emphasized that significant positive developments are being observed in strengthening good-neighborly relations and advancing regional dialogue. It was also highlighted that the seminar would provide a platform for young people to engage in dialogue and contribute to promoting the values of peace and solidarity.
During the meeting, Governor Khayrullo Bozorov stressed that the support of the United Nations plays an important role in implementing reforms aimed at improving people’s well-being, achieving the Sustainable Development Goals, and strengthening peace and good-neighborly relations in the country.
Special attention was drawn to the fact that such joint initiatives and events would help elevate interregional cooperation with neighboring countries to a new level.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the parties agreed to further expand and strengthen cooperation.
