A Major Investment Project in the Healthcare Sector Is Being Implemented in Fergana

During the meeting, the parties discussed prospects for constructing a modern multidisciplinary hospital in Fergana Region under a public-private partnership (PPP) framework, as well as implementing new investment projects in the surrounding area.
Practical implementation of the PPP project has entered an active phase. The project предусматривает the construction of a modern 800-bed multidisciplinary hospital in accordance with international standards, equipping it with the latest medical technologies, and ensuring long-term technical maintenance.
The Governor emphasized that this initiative is being implemented within the framework of reforms carried out in Uzbekistan aimed at expanding public-private partnership mechanisms and modernizing the healthcare sector. He noted that this is one of the largest healthcare projects being implemented in the country through a PPP model.
During the discussions, it was highlighted that the new medical complex will contribute to expanding access to high-tech and qualified medical services not only for residents of Fergana Region, but also for the entire Fergana Valley and neighboring countries. In addition, implementation of the project is expected to create a solid foundation for the development of medical tourism and the attraction of additional investments.
Omar Al-Midani particularly noted that Fergana Region has already established the necessary infrastructure and a strong foundation for healthcare development, which will support the successful implementation of the project.
The total value of the project is approximately USD 300 million. This mega-project, being implemented under a public-private partnership framework, is expected to become one of the largest healthcare facilities in Central Asia.
It was also announced during the meeting that the company has developed proposals for additional investment projects around the hospital area, the development of medical tourism, and the creation of modern service infrastructure.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the Governor emphasized that all projects implemented by investors would receive comprehensive support. The parties agreed to develop a separate roadmap to ensure the timely and high-quality implementation of the projects and to launch practical work on new initiatives.
