During his visit to the district, Fergana Region Governor Khayrullo Bozorov visited the mahalla and met with local residents.
During the discussion, proposals and initiatives were put forward to further increase employment, diversify production, promote cooperation-based activities, and expand the processing value chain. Relevant officials were also assigned tasks aimed at making effective use of the mahalla’s existing potential, expanding income-generating opportunities for residents, and further developing the business environment.
Afterwards, the regional governor reviewed persimmon and vegetable cultivation activities in the “Shunqor” Mahalla, organized under the “One Area — One Product” principle.
The distribution of high-yield persimmon saplings to local households and measures for their efficient cultivation have been established in the area. According to estimates, by growing persimmons, a family can earn an average annual income of up to UZS 80 million from a 0.15-hectare land plot.
The regional governor emphasized that the “One Area — One Product” principle plays an important role in increasing household incomes and creating employment opportunities.
