Joint educational programs will be implemented with a prestigious South Korean university

During the dialogue, the sides discussed bringing the agreements reached during last year's visit of the regional delegation led by the Khokim to South Korea into a practical stage, expanding cooperation between higher education institutions, and training qualified, competitive personnel.
At the meeting, special attention was paid to the prospects of launching joint educational programs in the field of artificial intelligence and information technologies with Fergana State Technical University and Kokand University, as well as guiding school graduates toward higher education.
An exchange of views took place on strengthening the integration of industry and science based on the advanced experience of Korea, developing practical cooperation with the Fergana regional branch of "IT Park", and training highly qualified local specialists in digital technologies and artificial intelligence for industrial enterprises.
During the meeting, the investors visiting the Fergana region within the framework of the 5th Tashkent International Investment Forum, held on June 16–18, put forward a number of initiatives. In particular, they discussed attracting investment, expanding cooperation in education and sports, supporting startup projects, launching grant programs for talented students, and effectively using dual education to develop the business environment.
In addition, proposals were considered for organizing elevator manufacturing, involving local entrepreneurs in the activities of the Uzbekistan–Korea Business Association, as well as establishing cooperative relations between the "Neftchi" football club and South Korean clubs.
The head of the region emphasized his support for the expressed initiatives and proposals, and extended special gratitude to Ku Gi-do, the head of "AHA Co., Ltd", for his active participation in the cooperation processes.
At the end of the meeting, a memorandum of understanding was signed between SeoulTech, Fergana State Technical University, and the Fergana regional branch of "IT Park".
Ku Gi-do, the head of the Korean company, was presented with a certificate of Special Advisor to the Khokim of Fergana Region on attracting artificial intelligence and digitalization technologies.
