Trade in fruits, vegetables, and agricultural products grown in Fergana is expanding in Japan

The visit includes meetings with representatives of major companies and business circles, strengthening interregional trade and economic ties, and advancing new investment projects.
Today, the Governor held negotiations at the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Japan with Ramzan Siddiq, head of Washin Trading Co., Ltd.. The meeting was also attended by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Uzbekistan to Japan, Mukhsinkhuja Abdurakhmonov.
During the talks, the parties discussed establishing systematic supplies of fruits and vegetables grown in Fergana to the Japanese market, increasing export volumes, and expanding cooperation.
It was noted that grapes and pomegranates grown in Fergana were among the first products to be introduced into major retail chains in Japan. Plans are now in place to further expand this direction by increasing the product range and supply volumes.
The Governor emphasized that Uzbek fruits are in high demand in international markets due to their natural sweetness, high quality, and environmental friendliness. In particular, the export geography of agricultural products from Fergana continues to expand.
The company’s cooperation with Quva Agro Star was highly appreciated.
Following the meeting, agreements were reached to increase exports to Japan of fresh greens, raspberries, cherries, and dried fruits, launch joint projects, and further improve the logistics chain.
