Cooperation between Fergana and Gomel is gaining momentum

The visit program, which is expected to mark a new stage of cooperation, is quite extensive: the delegation will take part in the 20th Gomel Economic Forum. They will also familiarize themselves with the activities of processing enterprises in the region and hold meetings with the regional leadership.
On the first day of the visit, the delegation members visited the memorial complex “Children – Victims of War,” located in Krasny Bereg, Zhlobin District. Flowers were laid at the monument, and tribute was paid to the memory of innocent children and civilians who perished during World War II.
The complex was built on the site of a large collection and transit camp established by the Nazis during World War II, where thousands of children suffered.
The memorial includes the symbolic “Sun Square” and unique architectural elements reflecting the tragedy of war.
After that, the delegation visited the museum exhibition located within the complex. Authentic historical documents from the war period, photographs, and exhibits telling the stories of the camp’s prisoners were presented to the delegation.
