Modern Multidisciplinary Hospital to Be Constructed in Fergana Region

During the meeting, the parties discussed issues related to the implementation of a public-private partnership project for the construction of a modern multidisciplinary hospital in Fergana Region.
It was emphasized that the project has entered an active practical phase, and important agreements have been reached regarding the design, financing, construction, equipping with advanced medical technologies, and long-term technical maintenance of an 800-bed, 10-storey multidisciplinary hospital to be built in Fergana Region in accordance with international standards under a public-private partnership framework.
Governor Khayrullo Bozorov noted that the initiative is being implemented within the framework of the reforms introduced by the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan aimed at expanding public-private partnership mechanisms, particularly in the healthcare sector. He also highlighted that this marks the beginning of the first major project of its kind in the medical sphere.
It was noted that the new medical complex will significantly expand access to highly qualified and modern healthcare services not only for the population of Fergana Region, but also for the entire Fergana Valley and neighboring republics, elevating the regional healthcare system to a new level.
During the meeting, Yousif Al Zuhair emphasized that Fergana Region has already developed the necessary infrastructure and a strong foundation for the healthcare sector, which will play an important role in ensuring the effective and timely implementation of the project.
The total investment value of the project is estimated at nearly USD 300 million. Implemented under a public-private partnership model, the mega-project is expected to become one of the largest healthcare facilities in Central Asia developed through a PPP framework.
During the dialogue, the company also presented its proposals and initiatives developed for the implementation of the project in Fergana Region.
At the conclusion of the meeting, Governor Khayrullo Bozorov stressed that all projects initiated by the investors would receive full support. It was also announced that responsible officials would be assigned and all necessary practical assistance would be provided to ensure the timely and high-quality implementation of the projects.
